12 Steps To looking & Feeling Younger
There are some techniques which have been implemented, but the most important things for us to do are being consistent in implementing a healthy lifestyle with healthy eating habits and most important BE HAPPY.
We can’t stop the natural aging process, but we can slow it down and still look & feel younger if we want to work hard at it.
Therefore, I’m going to help you with 12 easy steps to make you look & feel younger.
Sleep – Having enough sleep at least 6-8 hours a day will make our skin healthier. If you are not able to get the recommended amount of sleep take a 20 min nap to help revitalize you mind and body. Good quality sleep is also important because growth hormones are working during that time. While we sleep our skin cells renew, old cells are sloughed off and new cells surface. With enough sleep our skin will look fresh and young and our body will feel younger.
Detox – It’s important to start a detox regimen, a detox gets rid of toxins that are built up in our body. Our body metabolizes the food we eat, but in everyday life we are exposed to so many chemical hazards from air, food and the environment, our body needs a little extra help. A detox can include fasting or just consuming fruits and vegetables for a couple days or an extensive store bought total body cleanse.
Food – Eating healthy and safe food everyday will make our body fit, slim and also look younger. Try to eat more fish instead of red meat. High fiber foods, vegetables and fruits are important foods to consume. Drink less coffee (or at least decaf) and other caffeine beverages.
Supplements – At the very least a multi-vitamin should be taken to ensure our body is not missing important vitamins and minerals. A skin vitamin is also a great idea to add because of the anti-oxidants they contain which will help not only our skin but the hair and nails. Try a immune supplement to ensure your body is function the best it can.
Active Life – Always try to be mentally active and physically active during your life. Reading a book, gardening, taking a leisurely walk, can increase health; and if you are in your elder age, your memory will increase too.
Exercise – A regular exercise routine, can make us feel happier, energetic, and confident. It also increases our bone density and muscle tone which can make our body look 15-20 years younger. Aerobic, walking, jogging, hiking, swimming and going to the gym to do weight lifting exercise are all great ways to get our daily dose of exercise.
Proper weight – Is our body weight ideal for us? If not, try to get to your ideal weight your joints, muscles, and tendons will thank you for it. Also look to the skin, hair, nail and teeth. Those are important as they will show our age. Looks good and feels good will increase our performance
Beauty- Our face and neck can really show our age but if you use quality skin care products especially a cleanser, moisturizer, eye serum and night time moisturizer which is designed to help the skin renewal process when we sleep. Also look to the hair, nails and teeth. These are also important as they will show our age.
Social Life – Happy social life can increases our spirit, bring peaceful mind, and make us feel and look younger. Communication with our friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, and others can bring happiness to us.
Be Positive – A positive mind and affirmation that things are good and going to be O.K. can bring positive life to us. Negative thought tend to bring failure and make us look older and unattractive. Meditation is one way to bring positive thoughts to reality.
Relax – By trying to be relaxed, our face will look younger. Stress and worries appear on our face in the form of wrinkles and frown lines. If we can manage our stress and feel at peace, our face will look younger and attractive. Again meditation is a great way to relax or a day at the spa or even a hot bath before bed.
Medical Check-Up – Our body needs attention and care so it can work as effective as possible. Having a routine medical checkup is a great preventive method that is important to find diseases or sickness as soon as possible.
